Well, that was unexpected.
I started this blog over a year and a half ago, I never really thought I would get very far with it. As I have said before it was just a place for me to post some stories that I had written without them being heavily censored. I never thought that it would resonate with anyone or that so many people would care about what I had to say. You all proved me spectacularly wrong, and for that, you have my thanks.
I was wary of setting this blog up at the start, I’ll be honest, knowing what people are like, especially on the internet had me concerned. To quote Obi Wan “You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.”
So, I was concerned that I would be a laughing stock. But again, I was proven wrong.
You have all helped me in different ways, whether it’s simply by reading my posts, commenting on them, giving me feedback or even helping me personally through rough times.
I am not the same person I was when I started this blog, and I thank each and every one of you that have been with me on this journey. Some have been with me from the outset, some only recently but you are all welcome.
So, the point of this post is that tonight I posted my 300th post on WordPress. How the hell have I managed to ramble on for 300 posts?
(I never did get paid for being Gerard Butlers body double for that film)
Some of them have been good, some have been bad, and some have been downright awful. There have been times I’ve felt like I was in a trance while writing, posting purely for the sake of posting something.
In the dark times, you were there with your funny and engaging posts, dragging me back from the brink and making me laugh.
Three Hundred posts. I never thought I would make it this far and again I thank everyone here who made it possible.
There are, however, three people on here who I want to take this time to mention individually.
First is a fantastic writer, poet and artist who is way, way too talented for it to be fair. Kirascribbled, if you aren’t following her blog, I highly recommend that you do. She has a warped mind that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Second is RhapsodyBoheme who has some of the most inspiring, and phenomenal photographs you will see anywhere, she has such an eye for beauty, and I am trying to convince her to publish the pictures in a book or at least sell them as posters. I’d buy them.
And last but by no means least Cyranny over at the Cove. She is one of the kindest, funniest and most random people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Posting the most random things from pictures of snails to her obsession with Mads Mikkelsen. She is a genuinely good person who I encourage everyone to follow and visit the Cove.
All three of these people have my undying respect and thanks, you have all helped me in different ways, and I can’t thank you enough. If I am ever over in America or Canada, in your region, I am taking you out for a drink or twelve, and I won’t take no for an answer. (hopefully when I am rich and famous from selling my book and on a book tour)
It is without doubt that I wouldn’t still be posting on this blog without all of you.
So, thank you.
Here is to the next 300, I hope you all stick with me for that as well.
Here is a cute baby picture of the love of my life
