What the fuck is wrong with people?

 

It’s time for another one of my patented rants.

I know some of you really enjoy these.

Now I know that earlier today I put up a post saying that I was thinking about giving all this up, and I am still considering this as I don’t know where I am going anymore. But I have watched a video on YouTube tonight that has made me angry, so here we go.

I want to preface this with the fact that I am not a big gamer. I own a PS4, and I very occasionally play it, mostly due to not having time.

I don’t now, nor have I ever really, taken part in online gaming. But I have seen the kind of people that are on there, and really that puts me off the idea of playing online.

The abuse and vulgar vitriol that spews from the mouths of these “people” is fucking disgusting. And that is just what I have seen.

So I came across this video tonight (via Twitter), and I was utterly horrified by what I saw.

What the fuck is wrong with these “guys” its 2017 for fuck sake this is not now, nor has it ever been acceptable behaviour to speak to anyone like that. But the horrific things these things said to the poor woman in the game is utterly unacceptable.

I mean for fuck sake what the fuck is wrong with you? You really think that is the way to speak to someone?

I am going to say this right now if you follow my blog and you agree with what these “men” are saying to this woman who just wanted to play Overwatch (or any of the other women in the video) then you can fuck off right now. I don’t want you here. If you are one of these deplorable pieces of filth, then FUCK OFF NOW. DO NOT DARKEN MY DOOR AGAIN. I DON’T WANT YOU HERE. HIT THE UNFOLLOW BUTTON AND GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SIGHT RIGHT NOW!

Now that that has been said back to my point. These fucking scumbags need to be eradicated. I am all for free speech and the right to hold your own beliefs (even if they are fucking twisted and wrong.) But what is not on is inflicting your views on others, when those views are to abuse and harass people for no reason other than their Sex, Gender, Sexuality, Race, Creed, Colour or anything else. (it is, however, allowed to pull people up of spelling and grammar. I am a writer after all)

This doesn’t just happen in the gaming world, I have seen it happen in real life as well. And you are damn fucking sure I said something about it at the time. No one gets away with that shit as long as I am around.

You only need to look at the news and see what is happening in Hollywood to see that the world is changing and that we will not stand for it anymore.

It happens on twitter as well, there is a couple of accounts on there that I follow that are women who are incredibly witty and funny, and their tweets can crack me up.

It makes me angry to see that these women get harassed purely for being women.

I want to find these fuckers doing it and run their junk through a blender.

WordPress is one of the few sites on the internet where I don’t see this day in day out, not that I am saying it doesn’t happen, but I haven’t seen it myself (outside of the attack on my blog a few weeks ago but I managed to stop those comments from being seen by anyone other than myself), and if I do ever see it you’re damn fucking Skippy I will not remain quiet on the subject.

Back to the gaming side of things. As I said, I am not a huge gamer, but on YouTube, there are two channels that I subscribe to that are almost exclusively about Gaming, Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra, they are hilarious channels and two of the presenters on it are women and they are some of the funniest people I have come across on YouTube.

If you even have the slightest interest in games, and comedy, I highly recommend that you check them out you won’t be disappointed.

Anyway, that’s my rant for the day.
