Goodnight, We love you.

When I was growing up one of my favourite tv shows was Frasier, so it was upsetting to see the news at the beginning of the week that John Mahoney, who played Martin Crane, died on Sunday.

Over the last few years there have been a lot of celebrity deaths, but this is the only one that had actually got me emotional.

The relationship in the show between father and son is a relationship that I would want to have with my own father.

I felt a loss to the world when I read the news, when I told my sister she actually started to cry.

For me it hit me really hard when I seen the tweet on twitter from Kelsey Grammer

Goodbye Martin, we will keep your chair warm for you. Thanks for the laughs

How is that even possible? It was the biggest show in the world has been about for over 20 years how is it possible to have never seen it?

Welllll, I haven’t had TV since 1999. I’m not much of a watcher anyway. I’m a book reader. I only discovered Frazier through Netflix when I had it for about a year a few years ago.

Hhmmm. I don’t have Internet and there’s no way I could afford the phone data plan to stream it. I’m sure I can live my entire life without watching it or knowing anything about it. LOL

I live in rural Alaska, my friend. It’s a reality for many here. Guess what, we also use outhouses and don’t have running water nor electricity a lot of the time, too. It’s kinda nice. But I can use my phone (which, by the way, is only three years old and is my first cell phone) to get on the Internet but streaming movies uses too much data so I don’t do that.
